New Works!

Journal Entry: Sun Dec 16, 2007, 6:07 AM
  • Listening to: Led Zeppelin - Mothership
  • Playing: Freerider :P
My last journal entry was 56 weeks ago so I think it's high time for an update ;) I just want to let you know that I'm still alive and I'm gonna submit some new works soon. Currently I have three works you haven't seen yet. One of them I made for the new Terracult Pack. Here is the link to the journal [link] The deadline is today so it should be out soon. The pack must be submitted first so I can't show you my work yet. Another one is a painting and it's actually my first painting ever. I was playing with brushes and smudge tool and the result really surprised me. I think I should use it more often. It's almost finished just need some final touches. Finally the last work. It's still in progress but probably it's gonna be the biggest and most detailed piece in my gallery. Well, that's it. Stay tuned and have a nice day :)

Oh well...Theres no point making journals too often, I get a bit annoyed when my watchee's submit a new journal every week that is often about stuff most wouldn't care about...Like "Spending the week in Idaho" or "My poor dog is sick"

Since you said this is your first painting...does that mean the others are photo-manipulated or based on 3D renders?

Why is delivering things in a car called "Shipment" while delivering things by boat is called "Cargo" ?

That means this is the first time when almost 100% of the image is a painting. Just a basic brush and a smudge tool. No textures or photos ;)

It is possible, so far the only digital space artist I have found who 100% paints the images, with no photo's or textures is *Andr-Sar and thught the planets might not be crisp like the textured ones in other galleries...He makes up for it by having some of the best nebulae I have seen. the peice I'm trying to get into TerraSpace soon has a nebula inspired from what I saw in that gallery.
